Waylon Smithers: Welcome, Springfield Elementary second-graders! We hope you enjoy your field trip around the power plant today.
Mr. Burns: Let's start off by saying hello to nameless minion who does some job that probably keeps the city from blowing up.
Lisa: [thinking] I need to go to dad's station before the rest of my class gets there! If his workspace is as disheveld as everything else in his life, i'll just die of embarrassment!

Homer: [GASP] Lisa! What are you doing here? And please say you saw the thief who stole all my stuff!
Lisa: [PHEW!] Dad' I'm the thief. I cleaned up your station so my friends won't think I'm related to a sloppy pig.
Homer: Hey, I didn't know that keyboard had letters on it!
Ms. Hoover: Oh there you are, Lisa. I should've know you were here saying hello yo your father.
Lisa: "Saying Hello." Yep. That's all I was doing! Right, dad?
Homer: Hello, Lisa. Hi there howdy, 'sup?...

Mr. Burns: Well, I must say, Simpson, your employee records aren't quite what I expected... fifty percent attendance record... voted "most likely to swim in nuclear waste" seven years running... constantly fights with vending machines...
Homer: Those machines always start it, sir!
Mr. Burns: Don't worry, Simpson... it's clear you're not the man in that file. I'm interested in your future, not your past! Put simply, if the level of your work rises to the level of your organizational skills, then there's a big promotion in store for you!

Lisa: Dad, what's wrong? Did something happen? Is everyone okay?
Homer: Lisa, we can't talk here. I just need you to come with me! We're headed to the power plant!
Lisa: The power plant? What for ?! Dad, you're really starting to freak me out! What's going on?!
Homer: I need you to show me how to do my job, so I can get a big promotion!

Homer: Lisa, what are you doing here so early?
Lisa: Hey, dad! Today's the first day of my career!
Homer: What new career?!
Lisa: I want to be you, dad! I know I can't do your job until I'm eighteen, so I'll work as a part-time janitor or something until then.
Homer:But... but you can be so much more than me!
Lisa: I don't want to! Thanks to you, I feel like working in a nuclear power plant is my true calling!
