Continuity[edit]

  • The story features various references to The Amazing Colossal Homer, which was the first ever The Simpsons comic story.
    • At Moe's bar, Homer appears to not remember that he once became a giant after ray exposure despite Mr. Burns telling him about it, to which Moe reminds him it was all over the newspapers.
    • Mr. Burns explains to Homer that he sold the footage of him as a giant to a Japanese diaper company.
    • Bongo, who is standing near the ray is exposed to it after Bart accidentally throws his slingshot at the growth button, to which it destroys Bongo Comics. Later, Maggie uses the ray to fight him, to which they grow back to normal.
    • At the end of the story, the Simpson family are shown to be swimming in a giant chocolate milkshake at Burns' lab.
  • The cover artwork for Radioactive Man #197 appears when the Comic Book Guy explains his reason for Bongo's dislike for Bongo Comics.
