Wikisimpsons:Requests for Rights

Wikisimpsons - The Simpsons Wiki

On Wikisimpsons, user rights are extra tools that trusted users can get. These tools can be used to make things easier for a user, cleanup vandalism, spam and other bad edits, and block troublesome users. Not all of these tools are available to all user groups.

Trusted

Trusted is the first step up the user rights ladder. The extra abilities trusted users have is the ability to edit protected pages, as well as protect them in the case of emergency, and to move files (images) to other names. There is no need for community discussion on this, if it's requested and Solar Dragon or another bureaucrat think you are deserving, you will get the rights. They can also suppress redirects when moving pages.

Rollback

See also: Wikisimpsons:Rollback.

Rollback is the second step up the user rights ladder. Rollback can do everything Trusted can do but also allows users to rollback every edit made by a user on a page, up until the last edit made before them. They can also patrol a user's edits in recent changes and mark them as patrolled.

Administrator

See also: Wikisimpsons:Administrators.

Administrators is the third step up the user rights ladder. Administrators are able to delete pages and block users. However, this is not the main purpose of an administrator. An administrator must know the policies inside and out so that they can't make a mistake. They must know how the wiki's system works and make judgement calls based on experience.

Bureaucrat

Bureaucrats are the fourth and final step up the user rights ladder for a normal user. Bureaucrats can edit another user's rights, giving them powers and taking them away, with a couple of exceptions (namely Wiki Head and Server Manager rights). Only the most trusted users become bureaucrats due to the fact an abuse of powers could be catastrophic to the wiki.
