Rhea Jo Perlman (born March 31, 1948) is an Emmy Award-winning American actress and writer, best known for her role as Carla Tortelli in Cheers. She reprised the role of Carla Tortelli in the season 6 episode "Fear of Flying". She is married to Danny DeVito and they starred in the film Matilda together.
Rhea Perlman was voted joint 20th in IGN's "Top 25 Simpsons Guest Appearances" along with Cheers co-stars Ted Danson, Woody Harrelson, George Wendt, and John Ratzenberger.
