Blogs: Index Closing Chinese Wikisimpsons

The Chinese Wikisimpsons is very inactive. It has five content pages, and no recent changes, and the last edit was October 21, 2011. I don't think it has any views, either. It is in a terrible state at the moment. The German Wikisimpsons isn't actually looking much better, with only 30 or 40 pages when we even have a Die Simpsons article. Still, sticking to Chinese Wikisimpsons, it's a lot smaller that Wik-E-Mart, which was closed, so I think this one should be too. | SimpsonsFR.pngSimpsonsFA.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFD.pngSimpsonsFO.pngSimpsonsFM.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFO.png | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 08:11, 17 February 2012 (EST)

I agree with you, it should be closed. Also, the german simpsonswiki isn't really necessary because of simpsonspedia. FatHomerTalk 09:27, 17 February 2012 (EST)

Views range from 1-3 (i visit most days). Is there a Chinese Simpson community we could check with to see if they wanted to work on it? If not, unless Smiley wants to get back on with it, we might as well say good bye. German is currently active, and just as there's a competitor, doesn't mean we can't give it a go (maybe outreach to a community to give it growth).--Cook879 09:40, 17 February 2012 (EST)
German Wikisimpsons is alright, just a bit small. If it were up to me I think they should all be on the same wiki in different languages. Svenska Wikisimpsons is fine, German Wikisimpsons has poor quality templates but 55 pages, Chinese Wikisimpsons, however, has 34 total pages, most of which are unused templates. We also have about 55 Die Simpsons pages Homer emoticon.gif. | SimpsonsFR.pngSimpsonsFA.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFD.pngSimpsonsFO.pngSimpsonsFM.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFO.png | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 10:03, 17 February 2012 (EST)
I think we should keep the Chinese Wikisimpsons, we just need to promote it to some Chinese speaking wikis (I can help with that). Also, we should definitely keep the German Wikisimpsons, because I speak German (therefore I'll help it out). --Fred (Talk) 12:26, 17 February 2012 (EST)
I agree with Frederick. We just need to find a way to promote the other wikis more. If that proves unsuccessful, then I would say they (the chinese one) could probally be closed. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 18:53, 17 February 2012 (EST)
The Chinese wiki essentially has no info, so we may as well close it, unless someone wants to take over it. As for the German one, I say close it as well, but in doing so, we should form a Simpsons alliance of sorts with Simpsonspedia, somewhat like Bulbapedia has with all of those other Pokémon wikis. Maybe even make a wacky name like them: Encyclopædiæ Simpsonica! Though obviously that name may need tweaking - it's a blatant rip-off. --Wk (talk) 19:16, 17 February 2012 (EST)
