Mrs MCconnell is the third grade teacher. Her first apperance was in 'Bart vs Lisa vs the third grade. She dislikes Edna Krabapple because when she is mentioning where Bart and Lisa previous class teachers she coughs and says 'slut'. Uncharacteristically for a teacher at Springfield Elementary, she doesn't seem as downbeat or exasperated as Krabappel or Hoover, displaying a certain degree of cheerfulness, confidence and competence, at least until she witnesses a failure of the buddy system.
