Springfield Nuclear Power Plant is the workplace of Homer Jay Simpson in the fictional town of Springfield in the animated series, "The Simpsons". The plant is owned by plutocrat Charles Montgomery Burns, who is often considered an evil, greedy, selfish man who has no cares other than those regarding himself.

History
SNPP, as some nickname the plant, started somewhere around the mid 1970's. C.M. Burns opened the plant in hopes of converting the entire city to nuclear power which, to this day, he has been unable to do.
