The Coward is a character appearing in Bart the General. He can first be seen cheering on Bart at the Springfield Elementary School, and escapes when Nelson comes looking for Bart. He can later be seen in Bart's treehouse, where he signs up for his army against Nelson. He can be seen in various training scenes, but his major appearance is when he is required to run past a building guarded by a dog. His nerves cut him out and he chickens out. Bart then slaps him to get him back into shape, but Abe then slaps him back, because sergeants can not slap soldiers. Bart then apologizes and its fine with the coward. He later attacks Nelson and his weasels and wins.
