Patrick Stewart is an English actor, most famed for his performance as Captain Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation. In more recent years he has become more famous for his role as Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men films. Before he moved into film, Stewart (a classically trained Shakespearean actor) was a frequent star in the writer's plays. He guest stars in the episode "Homer the Great" as Number One.
