The Baby translator was an invention by Herb Powell.
History
Herb tried to invent something that would make him rich again so he decides to invent a translator for babies. Since Herb had no money, Herb asked Homer if he could have $2,000. After Herb managed to build a working model, he showed it off and got a lot of money for it. Since Homer gave him the money, Homer got $2,000 and a Spine Melter 2000.
