Hercules is Smithers' Yorkshire Terrier. He is only mentioned once or twice, so very little is known about him.

According to Smithers, the name is a joke because he is "Kinda tiny." The existence of Hercules became

known in Homer Defined. when Mr. Burns asks Smithers what he did over the weekend, he says that

he "Caught up on his laundry, wrote a letter to his mother, and (here's a kicker) he took Hercules out for

a clip."
