Trivia

  • Willie is hit in the back with an axe in all 3 stories.
1. Homer stabs him in the back with an axe.
2. Maggie kills him with an axe as well (then states to Homer "this is indeed a disturbing universe").
3. Seymour Skinner, for trying to stop the children getting eaten by the teachers, to which Willie states "Och, I'm bad at this."
  • The song heard on the portable TV in "The Shinning" is the song The Simpsons sing at the end of the episode.
  • In "The Shinning", before they leave, Smithers suggests that cutting off the cable television and beer supply was the cause for the previous caretakers to go insane and murder their familiyes to Mr. Burns. Mr. Burns then bets that if they come back and everyone is slaughtered, he owes Smithers a Coke. Mr. Burns also says he owes Smithers a Coke in Treehouse of Horror II when he and Smithers are returning Homer's brain to his body, realizing he was alive all along.
