The Homer Show is a Simpsons Comic story. In America it was released in Simpsons Comics 42. It was also featured in the book Simpsons Comics Unchained
Plot
The producers of "World's Funniest Surveillance Videos" goes through the video tapes they have received and discovered that there is planty of funny clips with Homer and they get an idea which the present for the TV executives on FOX. They want to filming Homer around the clock and make him a star for an hour show. The producer contact mayor Quimby and after a town meeting without the Simpson family they decided to begin filming Homer and set up hidden cameras around in Springfield against their offer the rest of city residents a bundle of money. The series will also not be brodcast in Springfield to reduce the possibility that Homer discovers that he is on TV. They start to filming and the producers love Homer what does. After the first episode of "The Homer Show" was brodcast got the series a high rating. Everyone in town starts to fawning up to Homer and Apu and Moe advertise for they their business when they talks with Homer to get free advertising on television. Homer is happy that his friends care so much about him. After a few weeks Bart accidentally meet the people in the TV bus, and he finds out the truth. They bribe him to keep it quiet and Homer are getting tired of that has become so popular among his friends. When he gets chased by the entire Springfield's population so that they can be seen in the picture with Homer he flees home and the producers becomes worried. Marge also think it also happened a little too much strange things. Homer decides to stay in bed for five days and to save the show go the TV producers to the Simpsons to tell them the truth. Homer learns that he is famous and they ask him to continue as before and Homer decides to return to his old self in order to entertain his millions of fans, but is one, problem Homer tries to be funny on purpose, which do not attract viewers. They canceled the TV show and everything returns to his old self. Homer happen soon again for an incident filmed by Willie who plan to send the tape to ABC.
