Character Information
|
Can Owner was a parody of Walter Brennan and a minor appearing character in "Marge on the Lam". He was an elderly farmer, who collected antique cans, which he kept balanced on a fence in his field. Ruth Powers showed Marge how to fire a handgun, which a few she shot and Marge shot the rest. She was joyous of her success, but the owner, having heard the gunshots, ran out to the cans in red pyjamas and wielding a pitchfork and wailing "My cans! My precious antique cans! Look what you've done to 'em!"
We later heard that Marge was charged with destruction of antique cans and had to pay many cents in order to replace them.
