Stephen King is an American writer, who primarily writes book of the Horror genre. He appears as himself in the episode "Insane Clown Poppy". His book The Shining and the film have been referenced in Treehouse of Horror I, Brother From The Same Planet and Treehouse of Horror V.
The episode The Blunder Years references Stand By Me, based on the novel "The Body" by King.
