Nuclear Energy: Our Misunderstood Friend is a documentary about nuclear energy, with a positive spin put on it.
History
When the forth grades at the Springfield Elementary School did a field trip to Springfield Nuclear Power Plant showed Waylon Smithers the movie for them.
Plot
The movie starts with an explosion to describe what most people thinks when they heard the word nuclear energy so a narrator tell the viewes at they real mean the next scene which is a scene with a family in their home. Smilin' Joe Fission tell then how nuclear energy works. Smilin' Joe Fission talking with his friends, Uranium 235 rods which are hot due to radioactivity. So they go for a dip in the pool. The water becomes so hot, it boils so the steam generated is used to turn turbines and produce electricity. After that have they little left-over nuclear waste but it's no problem, Smilin' Joe Fission tell the viewers at they just put them where nobody will find them for a million years and he sweeps the wasties under a throw rug and stomps them down. Smilin' Joe Fission ending then the movie at they know now the true about nuclear energy so keep on smiling.
