"Luke, Be a Jedi" is a song that Mark Hamill sang in the Springfield Dinner Theater's production of Guys and Dolls.

Hamill was playing the part of Nathan Detroit, but at the director's insistence he was doing the role as Luke Skywalker. In spite of Hamill's objections, the director had him wearing Luke's farmer outfit, carrying a lightsaber prop, and, instead of "Luck, Be a Lady", singing "Luke, Be a Jedi".

Lyrics

Mark Hamill:
Luke, be a Jedi tonight! Just be a Jedi tonight!

(Chorus: Luke be a Jedi, Although it might scare I. It is worth it for you. Yeah, yeah. It is. Yes.)

Mark Hamill:
Do it for Yoda, while we serve our guests a soda.
Hamill:
Uh, and do it for Chewie, and the Ewoks, and all the other puppets ...

(Chorus)

Hamill :
Luke, be a Jedi tonight!

Behind the Laughter

"Luke, Be a Jedi" is an obvious parody of "Luck, Be a Lady" from Guys and Dolls.
