Simpsons Comics Gold (unofficial title) was a planned comic series to be released in the United Kingdom.
On May 24, after The Best of The Simpsons #68 was released, "GOLD 1" appeared in the "SIMPSONS COMICS PRESENTS" listing on National Title File. This was confirmed by the Simpsons Comics News Blog. It had the onsale date of July 19 under it, and the offsale date of August 16. On May 31, it was confirmed by the Simpsons Comics News Blog, that the GOLD 1 listing had vanished, and was replaced by "BART 40".
It is likely this series was created to celebrate the upcoming Simpsons Comics #200. It could have contained some special comics, such as the Simpsons Comics One-Shot Wonders.
