Spinal Tap is a fictional band consisting of equally fictional members David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean), Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), and Derek Smalls (Simpsons regular Harry Shearer). They made their mark as the stars of the hit mockumentary This is Spinal Tap. McKean, Guest and Shearer reprised their roles in The Otto Show.
