Cultural references[edit]
- Sideshow Bob's seeing Bart as a mouse and grumbling about his refusal to die is reminiscent of the 1997 comedy film MouseHunt.
- Popeye: When we see how Bart sees himself, he cites Popeye's catchphrase, "I yam what I yam!"
Continuity[edit]
- In the television episode "Bart Gets an "F"", Bart imagines a future where he never passes the fourth grade.
- Bart is also seen being cooked by Kang and Kodos in "Treehouse of Horror XV".
