- Maggie has apparently watched some jungle movies (possibly with Homer), as in her imagination she sees herself as a classical jungle explorer, complete with machete and pith helmet, and the setting includes a fortuitously placed vine and quicksand pit.

- The red-haired woman's baby appears to be a girl, based on how she's dressed (ruffles on her shoes and the neckline of her shirt).
- Several species of dinosaurs are seen:
