Dateline: Springfield is a documentary crime series.
History[edit]
When the secret stash of money Marge kept under the kitchen sink for Lisa's college fund went missing, Dateline: Springfield went in to investigate the crime and figure out who stole it. The show investigated each of the Simpson family members, ruling out each one as a suspect. Eventually, annoyed at them trying to pin the crime on one of the family, Marge kicked them out the house. The crime went unsolved on the show.
Due to the crime going unsolved, the narrator complained that this changed the format of the show as they always found the criminal.
