Cultural references[edit]
- The title is a reference to the film They Saved Hitler's Brain.
- Flanders attempts to return a record of the song Stairway to Heaven to a music store after Todd listened to it backwards. This is a reference to allegations of Satanic messages found within the song if played backwards.
Continuity[edit]
- The plot is similar to the episode "HOMЯ", both of which feature Homer becoming more intelligent. The episode aired in January 2001, four years after this comic was released.
- Lisa's Saxophone was also destroyed in "Lisa's Sax".
