Prankenstein's Monster! is a Bart Simpson story first printed in Bart Simpson #87.
Synopsis[edit]
- "Professor Frink designs a robot based on Bart that's the perfect prankster, making Bart obsolete, but can Springfield's original jokester fight the future?"
Plot[edit]
Professor Frink has built a robot and he wants to transfer Lisa's personality to the robot's memory, but Bart comes in during the transfer and his personality is transferred instead. The robot calls himself Prankbot 5000 and claims to be the world's best prankster. Bart does not believe Prankbot, so he shows Bart some pranks. Bart likes it, but he soon becomes jealous of Prankbot because he is much better than him, and asks Professor Frink to stop him but he does not want to do it. Bart starts to show Prankbot that he is still a prankster, but Prankbot pulls a prank on Bart. Bart realizes that he is defeated, and starts studying and learning to play the saxophone instead. Lisa likes Bart's new personality and decides to help Bart. Bart and Lisa challenge the robot to prank someone he could never prank: himself. The robot accepts the challenge, but it causes the robot to lose his memory and personality, and he takes a new one from the nearest person, which is Professor Frink. The robot changes its name to Frinkbot 5000. Frink does not want a robot with his personality, and starts to destroy it. Bart asks Lisa how he can thank her, and she tells him not to play the saxophone or get a higher grade than a B+ again, which he accepts.
