A Black Out marker.

Black Out is a marker-like product, which can be used as face paint.

History[edit]

When Mr. Burns' hot air balloon went out of control as a result of a gust of wind, Homer grabbed a gun from Lenny to shoot it down. Before he could make his shot however, Homer had to go through a number of little rituals, one of which was marking a line and a skull on his face with a Black Out marker.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Black Out is possibly a parody of Wite-Out.
