Behind the Laughter[edit]
The song is a parody of the Toreador Song, from the opera Carmen.
Parts of the melody appears twice in the scene; instrumentally when the Simpson family enter the opera (the prelude to Act 1, when the parody lyrics are sung), and slightly later, when a different section of the song is sung by a bullfighter character.
