Animotion was an animation company.
History
After Homer saw the Animotion on Totally Sick, Twisted, F***ed-Up Animation Festival, he invests the family's life savings in Animotion stocks (without acknowledging warnings). A couple of days later, the Animotion business had gone into "super-duper" bankruptcy. Homer lost his savings in the process .
Trivia
Animotion's name spoofs the 1980's music group Animotion, known for their 1983 hit, 'Obsession'.
