Bart Hears a What? is a Bart Simpson story that appears in Bart Simpson #41. The comic has been reprinted in Bart Simpson: Prince of Pranks.
Plot
Mrs. Krabappel tells the class it is "Old Codger Day" the next day, but Bart brings in Mike Piazza because he thought she said "Old Dodger Day". The next day, Bart tells the class about the "United Snakes of America" when he was supposed to do a report on the "United States of America", which prompts Mrs. Krabappel to call Marge and tell her that Bart needs his hearing checked. At the hospital, Dr. Hibbert finds a fortune cookie, and a dollop of meatloaf with Marge's wedding ring in Bart's ears. At home, Bart can hear more than he used to. At first he is quite pleased with this, but the extra hearing ability soon turns out to be a burden, as it prevents Bart from getting any sleep. He decides to plug his ears up with wax so that he can get some rest. The next day he brings a skunk to school for "Show and Tell Day", or to his knowledge, "Show and Smell Day".
