Herbert Powell is Homer Simpson's half brother. He was "made" at the fair when a prostitute had sex with Abraham Simpson, Homer's father. Herbert became rich with his car company. When Homer eventually found him, the two brothers made a deal. Herb had Homer design a car for the average man. Homer made a car which cost Herbert millions. As a result, Herbert lost his fortune. When Herb left, he told Homer that as far as he was concerned, he had no brother. A few years later, Herbert came back, broke, and begged his brother Homer for a place to stay.
