− | After being sent to the Principal's office for switching the teacher's regular coffee with decaffeinated coffee Bart finds Skinner is still depressed over Edna dumping him. Bart suggests surrounds himself with even bigger losers then himself and so Skinner joins a support group for the recently heartbroken lead by Dr. Nick. Comic Book Guy (dumped by Agnes) tells of his dreadful speed dating (in which he passed out from all the exercise), Skinner tells of his date with Myrtle, a woman who looks very similar to his own mother, and Patty tells of her rejection from the She-She Lounge. Before Kirk Van Houten has a chance to tell his depressing story Otto crashes the school bus into the Community College. The building is collapsing and it is up to the club to rescue an injured Otto. Doing this gives them an adrenaline rush and so the group do activities like snowboarding, treasure hunting and police officer taunting to make themselves feel better about themselves. They soon form the "Springfield Heartbroken Adventures Club" where many of Springfield's singles turn up as well as Homer, who is promptly rejected due to being happily married. While the club participate in hang gliding over the tire fire "Extreme TV" offers to put them on the show and so the whole club are set to take part in a mass skydive where they will each have a part of a parachute and construct it in mid-air. However the singles soon get partners who are attracted to the "lonely dangerous guy" lifestyle. Lisa realizes that this new love may ruin their chances of constructing the parachute and so Bart & Lisa sets out to warn them but they arrive to late. All the members forgot their parachute pieces and they all fell to their death, with the shockwave forcing California to separate from the USA and sink.
