Tom Poston (October 17, 1921 – April 30, 2007) was an American actor. He was the voice of the Capital City Goofball in the episode "Dancin' Homer". In a long career he was known for his roles in many sitcoms, primarily as George Utley in Newhart from 1982 to 1990 for which he received several Emmy nominations, as well as roles in Grace Under Fire and an Emmy nominated appearance in Coach.
