The Scarlet Tanager was a bird that appeared in the episode "Lost Verizon". Bart Simpson was being tracked by his family by means of a chip, So he tied the chip to the Scarlet tanager's leg. The Simpsons family followed it to Machu - Pichu, Thinking it was Bart.
