Tyrone Simpson, known better as Uncle Tyrone, is a cynical elderly Simpson relative who lives in Dayton, Ohio.

Judging from his age and appearance, as well as the fact that various members of the Simpson family (including Dr. Simpson) attended his birthday party, he is most likely Grampa Simpson's brother, making him a great-uncle to the Simpson family.

The family intended to visit him on his birthday. However, due to his cynical personality, Bart and Lisa get to stay home with Grandpa. Homer and Marge, decide to have a second honeymoon, and ditch Tyrone.
