When [[Homer]] thought that the world was ending, he thought that the Springfield Mesa would be safe, so he got everyone to gather up there. However, the world didn't end and it ended up raining so everyone became annoyed at Homer. When Homer redid his calculations and realized he had the end of the world time wrong, he tried to get people to go there again, but ended up going alone.
