Bobo is Mr. Burns's beloved teddy bear.

History

Bobo was once in the possession of a young Mr. Burns until Burns dropped him. After many years of decay, he drifted in a river until he was found by Charles Lindbergh, who boarded the Spirit of St. Louis. When Charles threw Bobo out of his plane, Adolf Hitler caught him. When Hitler blamed him for the loss of World War II, Bobo was tossed aside once again. He then ended up on a submarine in the North Pole. A group of explorers mined the ice and put a frozen Bobo and the ice inside a bag to be sold. After ending up in the Kwik-E-Mart, he was found by Bart. After Bart called Bobo gross and diseased, he gave it to Maggie. Burns then sparked a city-wide search to find him, offering a large reward. Homer recognized Bobo as the bear Burns wanted and gave it to Burns. Homer then took Bobo back after Burns refused to give him a reward. Burns offered Homer a lot of money in return for the bear, but Homer declined as Maggie loved it too much. Burns then took away all the town's T.V. by taking over the shows on all cable networks and diverted all Duff Beer trucks out of Springfield in an attempt to get Bobo back. An angry mob tried to give the bear back to Burns but ended up giving it back to Maggie. Eventually, Maggie gave it to Burns. Bobo was still seen with Mr. Burns and was apparently fixed up, and Mr. Smithers supplied him to Mr. Burns after the latter ended up injured from a fight between Homer and Smithers. Mr. Burns had had him since infancy.

In 1,000,000 AD, some apes with their Homer-look-a-like slaves discovered Bobo, and Mr. Burns, now a cyborg, and Smithers, now a robot dog, grabbed him. He said, "Bobo, I know I say this every century, but I'll never leave you behind again."

Behind the Laughter

Bobo made a cameo in the Game of Thrones spoof couch gag in the season 23 episode "Exit Through the Kwik-E-Mart".

Two Bobo accessories appeared in the World of Springfield toyline, one based on how he appeared at the end of Rosebud and the other how he appeared in Homer the Smithers.

The LEGO minifigure of Maggie included a Bobo accessory.
