Gloria Grand, Radioactive Girl! is a Radioactive Man comic story first printed in Radioactive Man 80pg. 1.
Plot[edit]
Claude Kane III visits Gloria Grand to take her out to lunch, but she has no time. Gloria hears on the news that a marauding robot is rampaging through Zenith City, so she goes out to watch the robot and to get a glimpse of Radioactive Man as he battles the robot.
Gloria walks downtown where the robot sees her and fires a beam at her. Meanwhile, Radioactive Man arrives to stop the robot, but the robot grasps Radioactive Man and he cannot break free. He sees that the robot has an isotropic ray that can really hurt him. Just as the robot is going to end Radioactive Man's life, Gloria flies in as a superhero and removes one leg from the robot, then frees Radioactive Man from his hand. Gloria tells him what happened and Radioactive Man sees with his atomically enhanced vision that Gloria is protected with pure clean radiation, and he and Gloria realize they are equal footing. Gloria tries to bid out Radioactive Man for dinner, but he has no time because he hears someone yelling for help.
Gloria follows him and she rescues a cat from a tree before Radioactive Man manages to do it. The cat's owner thanks Gloria and calls her Mrs. Radioactive Man, so Radioactive Man asks her if she wants to marry him. The news of the wedding begins to spread, and a few hours before the wedding Gloria gets a wedding gift—a statue which she places in the bedroom before she falls asleep, but when Gloria wakes up to fly to the wedding, she discovers that she has started to losing her power, but because she does not want to stop the wedding she decides not to tell him.
During the wedding ceremony, Dr. Crab arrives and tells them that he has come to destroy them both. He tells them that he created the Marauding Robot which gave her superpowers, and as revenge he made a statue that made Gloria lose her power and it seemed to work. Dr. Crab intends to fire his gun at them, but then Gloria holds up a silver tray and it deflects the blasts back to Dr. Crab, defeating him again. Radioactive Man tells her that he can't marry Gloria even though she saved his life, and she realizes it. Radioactive Man gives her a kiss before flying home and tells her that she'll always be his radioactive heroine. Gloria looks at Radioactive Man as he flies home, thinking that maybe she'll find some other way to become Mrs. Radioactive Man in the future.
