Forum:Shaded character slates

Wikisimpsons - The Simpsons Wiki

Well, we've had two discussion in editor meetings about these, but it's just annoying. We should really have one or the other. There are a few times shaded slates have been shown in official sources/places:

    • He's been going on for a while, but I ain't been paying attention as I don't care - I presume some character art is shaded and some not.--Cook879 17:31, 25 April 2012 (EDT)
  • How many characters even have shaded artwork? Either way I don't think it's that big a deal. Sure they look better, but it's not like the unshaded art looks bad to begin with. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 18:17, 25 April 2012 (EDT)
  • Solar, it does. Nick, http://babysimpson.co.uk/index.php?action=slates. I've uploaded a few PNGs to Wikisimpsons. | SimpsonsFR.pngSimpsonsFA.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFD.pngSimpsonsFO.pngSimpsonsFM.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFO.png | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 13:00, 27 April 2012 (EDT)
    • No, it really doesn't matter... The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 13:03, 27 April 2012 (EDT)
      • Yes it does. Just like promos or framegrabs in the infobox. Currently you have been unsure about the "properness" of the WOTS slates. So why do we use the other ones? | SimpsonsFR.pngSimpsonsFA.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFD.pngSimpsonsFO.pngSimpsonsFM.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFO.png | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 14:23, 27 April 2012 (EDT)
        • We use the official images where possible. Otherwise, we use other images. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 14:24, 27 April 2012 (EDT)
          • How do we know Professor Frink's image is official? | SimpsonsFR.pngSimpsonsFA.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFD.pngSimpsonsFO.pngSimpsonsFM.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFO.png | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 05:50, 6 May 2012 (EDT)
            • According to this, in the source section it says the image was released in a package with other images by Fox. Also, I agree with Solar. It really doesn't matter. As long as the image is high quality, it's fine. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 10:58, 6 May 2012 (EDT)
