Dumpster Divers! is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #228.
Synopsis[edit]
- "Bart and Milhouse go on a treasure hunt through the trash of Springfield and get much more than they bargained for."
Plot[edit]
Ralph has an RC car that Clancy Wiggum found in a dumpster. Bart and Milhouse are jealous and start looking in the dumpster for valuable items. After they dive into the first dumpster they find an X-Station One game system. For days they search more dumpsters for valuable objects. Later, Bart gives Marge an outfit that is a bit ratty and smelly. Marge tries to stop them from rummaging through the garbage but Homer thinks it's a good idea. Bart and Milhouse decide to sell several of the objects they have found after one last dive into a dumpster. However, a garbage truck comes and picks up the dumpster while they are still inside, and they do not come out until they are tipped out into the dump. Bart and Milhouse hurt their spleens when they land and end up in the hospital. After a few bandages and a tetanus shot, they are free to go home and they promise Marge that they will stop diving in the dumpster because it hurts too much.
