A League of Their Own is a Simpsons Super Spectacular comic story first printed in Simpsons Super Spectacular #3.
Plot[edit]
Judge Snyder has received super powers and gone crazy after being exposed to radiation from the evidence that Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl gave him, becoming Judge Mental. Bouncing Battle Baby, Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl fight Judge Mental and defeat him, leaving the court house damaged. The League of Women Voters tell the superheroes that are tired of how they destroy Springfield every time they try to save it. As a result, they force Joe Quimby to pass a law banning superheroes in Springfield. This makes Bouncing Battle Baby, Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl give up their superhero career and go back to their old lives.
The first day with the new law has Bart put in detention after Nelson fails in bullying him due to his superpowers protecting him from getting hit, and Lisa being banned from the gym after she throws balls too hard while playing dodgeball. At home, Maggie bounces incessantly. After dinner, Bart and Lisa point out that the worst of all is supervillains can still use their powers. Homer then tells Marge that the supervillains are more afraid of them than they are of the villains. Homer then teases some villains who are in the street. As a consequence, he ends up in hospital
In the next P.T.A. meeting, Lisa and Bart try to make the League of Women Voters realize that they must force the mayor to remove the law, but they refuse to listen to them. Soon after that, Jailbird and the Human Scumbag attack the meeting in order to rob the crowd.
When Bart and Lisa see Jailbird and the Human Scumbag rob Marge and Homer, they realize what they must do. They put on their super suits again and pretend to be supervillains, pretending to help the villains. However, they kept getting in the way of the villains and eventually defeat them. In the process, they accidentally knock off Agnes Skinner's face, and it turns out that she was an alien in disguise. The alien tells them she replaced Agnes in order to infiltrate the voting league to get rid of the superheroes before their invasion.
Later, the supervillains and the alien are arrested by the police. Quimby then decides to abolish the superhero-banning law. The rest of the League of Women Voters apologize to Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl. Seymour Skinner then comes with the real Agnes and says he found her in a pod in the basement. Skinner tells his mother that he has suspected for years she had been replaced with an "evil hideous alien creature". Agnes points out that the alien changed places with her just four days ago. Seymour then asks Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl for help but they walk away instead saying there's only so much even superheros can do.
