  • Up until the presidents play, Lewis is given yellow skin, brown hair and a pink shirt.

Cultural references

  • The episode title is an obvious play on I Love Lucy.
  • Ned Flanders serenades Maude with a considerably cleaned-up version of the Rod Stewart song "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?".
  • The candy valentine hearts that have love messages on them are seen in this episode. The only difference is the ones Bart uses were sprayed with messages by him with insults such as U Stink.
