Evan Conover is an US state department undersecretary for international protocol in the Brat and Punk Division.

After Bart made a $900 prank collect call to Australia, the government sent Conover to the Simpsons' to explain how Bart damaged Australian–American relations and how Bart could have repaired them. During his slideshow, he inadvertently showed a slide about a Plan B for Cuba and told the family to forget what they saw, before he swallowed the reversal film. He traveled to Australia with the family, where the family realized that Conover sold them out when the family learned Bart's additional punishment, after apologizing, – getting booted.[1]
