Calista Flockhart is an actress probably better known for playing lawyer Ally McBeal whose exaggeratedly skinny caricature appeared in an episode of South Park whose exaggeratedly thin caricature appeared in an episode of South Park.

History[edit]

"Impaled-on-Calista Flockhart Lance Murdock" is a traction figure toy of Capt. Lance Murdock with Calista Flockhart impaled through him. The ad copy reads, "The ad copy for "Terrifying-yet-average crash landing goes horribly awry when Lance is thrown from the bike and TV's Ally McBeal is driven through his chest!"[1]

Bart and Milhouse watches an episode of South Park where Calista Flockhart was the guitarist in a band with Farty the Crippled Robot and Steve Guttenberg. After Farty sung about O.J., O.J. Simpson came and killed her and the rest of the band. The violence causes Marge to turn off the TV.[2]

Behind the Laughter[edit]

These jokes are references to Calista Flockhart's weight which was a major issue in pop culture when Ally McBeal became a hit TV show including speculation and gossip causing her to say, "I would like to take this opportunity just to tell the press to kiss my skinny white ass" during an interview with David Letterman.[3]
