Cosmo Gaspar Flagstone is the Farleyborough's next door neighbor. He is an Australian immigrant who came during the late 1970s as part of a wave of immigrants known as the Abusive Aussie Husband/Battered Southern Wife stereotype. He is a good friend of Slade Farleyborough.

Cosmo was once a fit, athletic sort but now he has a beer vgut and is beginning to bald.
Other Traits
He is a somewhat hypocritical man who likes to think of himself as a model citizen, but is actually somewhat of drunkard and a wifebeater. His wife is Mariah Jeanette, a biracial Southern girl from Louisiana. Although he has a thick accent, he does not fit the stereotype of the rednecky outback Aussie typified by Paul Hogan, in fact he is very professional, and in many ways resembles a Melbourne yuppie. In one episode, it is revealed that he uses diapers.
Character Origins
Cosmo was meant to resemble the stereotypical highly-paid Australian American white collar executive that was so common in American cities during the 1980s. His appearance, including red hair, was based on Aussie Bob.
Religion
Flagstone is a member of the Metropolitan Community Church, despite being not entirely homosexual. He never attends ceremonies, however.
Family
His only known relative is his wife Mariah Jeanette IV.
Sexuality
Flagstone is bisexual, and lusts after both guys and girls. Slade has possibly had occasions with him.
