The Simpsons: Tapped Out Level 30 content update

The twenty-third content update, known as the Level 30 content update, for The Simpsons: Tapped Out was released on May 31, 2013. It added two characters, Herman and Jasper to the game, three buildings - one premium, and three decorations - one premium.

Well, I was thinking we could rebuild Herman's shop. But I don't think you'd shop there. It sells military antiques. A store's a store. Build it! Build it now! The player receives "Military Antiques Pt. 1" which is to "Build the Herman's Military Antiques". It takes 8 hours. The player receives total 100 and 10 in reward. New character is Herman. Customers Pt. 1

After tapping on Marge's exclamation mark At least, a new store! Herman, I'd like some military antiques please. I'll take a box of musket balls, three "Potato masher" grenades, and a dozen bazookas. I didn't realize you were such a fan of antique firearms. Oh, I'm not. I just need to bring something to the register, and have you charge me for it. You know -- shopping! After tapping on Herman's exclamation mark Hey, old man! Want to buy a gun? There's no better way to protect yourself. After all, it's scary getting old, isn't it? You have no idea! My vision's gone, I'm always forgettin' who I am, I panic in stessful situations... ...my trigger finger itches something terrible, my aim ain't what it used be, I often mistake loved ones for dangeroua intruders, I forget whether things are loaded... ...and above all, my time on Earth is short, and I'd love to take a few people with me when I go. You're the perfect gun owner! Step inside! The player receives "Customers Pt. 2" which is to "Make Grampa Browse Herman's Military Antiques". It takes 8 hours. Customers Pt. 3

After tapping on Bart's exclamation mark Hey, Milhouse, want to go check out the new gun shop in town? Of course! After all, the NRA says it’s the safest place for kids. They also say us kids should sleep under a blanket made of loaded guns. You know -- for safety. I eat my cereal every morning with a gun instead of a spoon. Because more guns everywhere means safer kids. Thanks, NRA! The player receives "Customers Pt. 3" which is to "Make Bart Browse Herman's Military Antiques" and "Make Milhouse Browse Herman's Military Antiques". The tasks takes 8 hours. That would infringe on your Constitutional right to never be inconvenienced -- even in the tiniest, most reasonable way -- when guns are involved. It's all part of “Gun Buyers Are To Be Hailed As Our Worthiest Heroes” Act of 2013… sponsored by the NRA. Wiggum‎ Great! The ready availability of guns to the public makes my job as a cop safer AND easier. The player receives "Military Antiques Pt. 3" which is to "Make Wiggum Read NRA Pamphlets". It takes 24 hours. Military Antiques Pt. 4

After tapping on Wiggum's exclamation mark Wiggum‎ Apu, give me a Squishee, beef jerky, and an advanced assault rifle-type weapons platform with integrated laser range finder and grenade launcher. Wiggum‎ Something experimental like Tony Stark wishes he had. We don't stock guns, you overweight imbecile. Wiggum‎ You do realize it’s now illegal to operate a store that doesn’t sell firearms? Wiggum‎ It’s all part of the “How Else May We Serve, Oh Wise and Powerful NRA?” Act. You’re going to jail! The player receives "Military Antiques Pt. 4" which is to "Make Apu Serve Time". Military Antiques Pt. 5

After tapping on Marge's exclamation mark Why are all of Springfield’s stores shutting down! There’s nowhere to shop! Wiggum‎ Sorry Marge, that’s the law. I have to defend the people’s right to buy guns whenever the whim strikes them. What about MY Constitutional rights to a decent downtown, fun window shopping, and jeans at a variety of price points? Wiggum‎ Those aren’t rights! Or are they? Who can say! That’s the funny thing about the law -- you never have the slightest clue what it is. Well, I’m taking my message to the people! The player receives "Military Antiques Pt. 5" which is to "Make Marge Protest... Something". It takes 24 hours. The player receives total 700 and 160 in reward.

Military Antiques Pt. 6

After tapping on Marge's exclamation mark We need to organize to protest these terrible laws that our shutting down our God-given stores. Herman, are you in? That’s affirmative. It’s time we took our government back. That’s what democracy is all about, right? Right. Now let’s mount an armed frontal assault on City Hall. Democracy-style. Uh... come again? The player receives "Military Antiques Pt. 6" which is to "Make Herman Draft Battle Plans". It takes 4 hours. The player receives total 275 and 80 in reward.

Military Antiques Pt. 7

After tapping on Herman's exclamation mark The battle plans are ready, Marge. You say the word, and we take back City Hall! Geez, I’m reading over these plans, and there’s an awful lot of shooting and yelling and reconnoitering. It all sounds very violent. To the lay person, it probably does. But when you’re staging a blood-drenched coup, violence really helps keep up morale. It’s something the whole battalion can have fun doing together. Why not lose a pincer movement or two, and let’s see if we can overthrow the state without all the fisticuffs? The player receives "Military Antiques Pt. 7" which is to "Make Herman Draft Battle Plans" again. It takes 4 hours. The player receives total 275 and 80 in reward.

Military Antiques Pt. 8

After tapping on Herman's exclamation mark The new battle plans are drawn. If all goes according to plan, not a single shot will be fired. But be warned: there WILL be mild swearing, intermittent sneaking around, and a post-operation cleanup where everybody -- and I mean EVERYBODY -- pitches in, leaving City Hall just as tidy as they found it. If that sounds like more than you can stomach, best stay home, soldier! Much better. Let’s prepare for “battle!” The player receives "Military Antiques Pt. 8" which is to "Place a Training Dummy" and "Make Herman Train for Battle". It takes 60 minutes. The player receives total 170 and 27 in reward.

Military Antiques Pt. 9

After tapping on Herman's exclamation mark Attack City Hall! Storm the gates! Wipe your feet on the mat before entering! Pause to admire the mural in the lobby -- it’s from the 1920’s! And remember to be nice to the receptionists! They have a hard job! We’re doing it, Marge! We’re taking back our government. Shhh! No shouting inside City Hall. People are trying to work. Attack quietly or not at all! Quimby What is the meaning of this? Who is this rabble sitting patiently in my waiting area? Let’s get back to the drawing board, and get to work on a level 31 that’ll really knock everyone’s socks off! Wiggum Sorry about level 30, guys. If you promise not to gripe to EA too much, everybody can have three donuts. It’s a coup. We’re tired of government walking all over the people, so we’re taking back City Hall! We’re not going put up with limited shopping options, crazy pro-gun laws, a mob armed with blunderbusses, thinly-premised Wolfcastle films, and... and... What exactly ARE we trying to accomplish? Honestly, I’ve forgotten. I guess this whole story didn’t make much sense. You know, we never thought anyone would play long enough to get to level 30. Guys, maybe this is a good thing. A real wake up call for everyone involved with this game. I mean, come on. Herman? THAT’S the best character we have to add? No offense, Herm. Even I know it’s true. The player receives "Military Antiques Pt. 9" which is to "Make Herman Stay a Coup" and "Make Marge Stay a Coup". It takes 24 hours. The player receives total 1,300 and 310 in reward, finish the "Level 30" trigioly"

Jasper

That's A Paddlin!

After tapping on Jasper's exclamation mark Hey Jasper, how's it hanging? At my ago, no matter what "it" is, it's hanging low. Blech. Rhetorical question, dude. You sassing me, boy? You better believe that's a paddlin'! The player receives "That's A Paddlin!" which is to "Make Jasper Go Paddling". It takes 4 hours. The player receives total 350 and 80 in reward.

Springfield's Got Talent!

After tapping on Jasper's exclamation mark Ding! Medication time! Now, was I supposed to take the red pill or the blue pill? Maybe the purple suppository? Better safe than sorry. I'll just take 'em all. ... Uh-oh... The player receives "Springfield's Got Talent!" which is to "Make Jasper Practice Lollipop Song". It takes 60 minutes. The player receives total 205 and 36 in reward.

The Prune Lagoon

After tapping on Jasper's exclamation mark I've never felt so alive! Which, at my age, is a sure sign of imminent death. It's okay, Jasper, old fella, just got to get the rihgt dose and you'll be back in the saddle again. The buildings are so... bright... and colorful... The player receives "The Prune Lagoon" which is to "Make Jasper Take Incorrect Medication". It takes 12 hours. The player receives total 700 and 160 in reward.

Back to the Freezer

After tapping on Jasper's exclamation mark When the only joy you got left is taking dangerous drug cocktails, it's time to end it all. Don't do it, Jasper! Not before bequeathing your dangerous drug cocktails to me! Too late! I'm going back in that nice Indian fellas' freezer. The player receives "Back to the Freezer" which is to "Make Jasper Self-Freeze at the Kwik-E-Mart". It takes 24 hours. The player receives total 1,110 and 235 in reward. *shiver* I thawed out. Is this... the future? Please stand away from the sale item rack. Pork rinds are on special today. It's just like I always imagine it would be.

Retirement

After tapping on Jasper's exclamation mark Jasper, you old buzzard, where do you think you're going? Cram it, Abe! Cant you see I'm living in the far-distant future? You've been dead for years, idiot! You keep acting this way, theyll lock you up! Now let's get back to the Retirement Castle. It's almost time for lock-up! Don't get your knickers in a knot. If I'm going in a home, itll be the one of my choosing! The player receives "Retirement" which is to "Reach Level 19 and Build Springfield Retirement Home" and "Make Jasper Relax in the Retirement Home". It takes 8 hours. The player receives total 520 and 115 in reward.
