The Springfield Pumas are Springfield Elementary's football team.

The team consists of Nelson, Martin, Wendell, Ralph, Milhouse and is coached by Principal Skinner. The cheerleading squad is led by Leopold and consists of Bart, Janey, Sherri and Terri. The team was created because the state mandated that schools must have an athletics squad. The team had a two-week training session before their first game against Shelbyville.
