When the Simpsons wandered through a rundown, mostly deserted Springfield Mall, they came across the spot where a JCPenney's used to be. Lisa then pointed out that it was now just a collection of candle kiosks and Persian CD stores. At that point the Persian man came out and offered Homer Uma Shang Shang: The Flower Song, "the latest by Nabil," a CD which he described as being like "Bruce Springsteen, The Boss."
