What's with the lower quality upload[edit]

What's with the lower quality upload? Gazlene the Pork Girl (talk) 19:23, October 2, 2014 (EDT)

It's simply that with promo images we don't need overly large images because they would lose quality when scaled down to 250px. And, as Solar Dragon once said "Whilst bigger images can be good, if it's too big, it loses quality when scaled down to 250px which is why we don't want huge images" (I've found this on my talk page from some time ago when I uploaded a bigger-sized version of a promo image of Four Regrettings and a Funeral) / Loco87 (SimpsonsFT.pngSimpsonsFA.pngSimpsonsFL.pngSimpsonsFK.png / Contribs) 19:35, October 2, 2014 (EDT)
What if the image is PNG? It shouldn't make a difference. Gazlene the Pork Girl (talk) 19:37, October 2, 2014 (EDT)
