Springfield Junipers Golf Club is a golf club in Springfield.

History

When Mr. Rum-ta-Tum told Ralph to go through the giant hedge in the center of town, he found the Springfield Junipers Golf Club and then told everyone at school about it. When Bart, Milhouse, Nelson, Martin, Ralph, and Lewis went through the hedge to see what was there, they found it was a golf course. Bart and Milhouse then saw Jimbo sucking up to Dr. Hibbert and getting paid for his services as a caddie. Bart and Milhouse then took on jobs at the Golf Club.

Milhouse quickly became annoying to Mr. Burns and likely lost his job. Meanwhile, Bart proved to be a hit, sucking up to Kent Brockman and getting paid at the end. Marge, however, didn't like this side of Bart and decided that she wanted to get the Golf Club shut down. She started a petition on pester.org, which gained over a million signatures, mainly due to the wording of the petition's title. This led to a huge increase in taxes on the Springfield Junipers and they were in danger of shutting down.

The First Church of the Blessed Mulligan

Bildorf, the president of the Springfield Junipers, took Bart on as his caddie in an attempt to get Bart to talk his mother down. Bart then gave Bildorf an idea to make the golf club into a church. Golf was then quickly made into a religion by Mayor Quimby, who also attended the club.

First Church of the Blessed Mulligan

The Springfield Junipers Golf Club became the First Church of the Blessed Mulligan. The church had a choir, saints (Greg Norman), praying, and ten commandments. Marge got together various religious heads in Springfield to look at the religion and judge it. They decided that it ticked all the religious boxes and that it was indeed a faith. They then were offered a group membership deal and accepted it, becoming members of the Golf Club.

After becoming a church, Bildorf dumped Bart as his caddie, taking on Chadlington again. This angered Bart, who thought that him saving the golf club would have left him in Bildorf's good books and that he earned being Bildorf's caddie. Bildorf dismissed Bart and he quit the club. Bart then went and rented out several Coyote Trail Flipper ATVs for him and his friends to use on the golf course to destroy it. After they were done, Bildorf told Bart that they would just repair the course. The police then arrived to arrest Bildorf as all new religions eventually become sex cults, with the First Church of the Blessed Mulligan becoming one very quickly.
