New Bedlam Rest Home for the Emotionally Interesting

The New Bedlam Insane Asylum, also called the New Bedlam Mental Hospital, or the New Bedlam Rest Home for the Emotionally Interesting, is a mental institution in Springfield.

The hospital was first seen in "Stark Raving Dad", when Homer is declared insane and sent to New Bedlam. It was then seen in "Treehouse of Horror IV", where Bart is assumed to be insane for his "disruptive behaviour" about a gremlin being on the school bus, yet he was right, and is carted off to the asylum, which is called the "New Bedlam Mental Hospital" in this episode. The institution was referenced in "Mother Simpson", where a straight-jacket is seen lying in the town with the name on it, however it is referred to, on the jacket, as the "New Bedlam Asylum for the Emotionally Interesting".
