"Love Is A Many-Splintered Thing" is the twelfth episode of season 24, and was scheduled to air on February 17, 2013, before it was re-scheduled for February 10, 2013.[1] It was guest star by Benedict Cumberbatch,[2] Max Weinberg, Robert Caro, and Zooey Deschanel.[3]

Plot

A mature Bart looks back on his life when his heartstrings are pulled once again when Mary Spuckler returns to Springfield, but his failure to pay her enough attention strains their relationship.[3][4] Marge, too, puts Homer in the dog house after not going to a travel bookstore soft opening with her.[1] Homer, along with Bart and a few other displaced husbands living at the Brokewood Apartments, decide to watch some British movies to figure out a way to win back their wives.[5]

Plot

Bart is at school, where he is challenged to stop a caterpillar inside a girl's dress. He makes the challenge and the girl turns out to be Mary Spuckler. Bart and Mary are happy to see each other again and she understands why he has to push her ​​down in a mud puddle. They decide to meeting again tomorrow. Early at the morning, Mary is visiting Bart but she is soon bored with Bart for he just want to play his video games. Lisa sees that Mary is bored by Bart and she tell him at he will have a better girl than her. Bart is visiting Mary's family and eating dinner. After the meal plays Mary a song she wrote for Bart. Mary then becomes angry that Bart did not bother to listen on her soon.

Bart follow Mary to the Hillbilly Talent Contest, after Mary loses, Bart tries to say a comforting word but can not think of anything good. Mary meets there a Brazilian record producer's son as she begins to like. Mary begins to avoid Bart which gets help from Woody Allen over how he can get Mary to start to like him again but falies and Mary breaks up with Bart and he becomes sad. When Bart comes home throws Marge out Homer again and he taking Bart with him to the Brokewood Apartments. Where his is there he calls Bart to Mary which playing a new song to him about how she hated him.

Homer, Bart and the other resident at the apartment enjoy being singles and they having a party. But they start soon missing their women and decides to imitate the British to get back their women. They invites the women, writing a song and give them something they wanted. It going well for everyone except Bart, Mary refuses to continue to be together with him. Bart does not understand what went wrong and Mary goes home with the Brazilian record producer's son. Bart sitting and playing video games again when he taking a break and she sees that Mary is married on a social site and becomes even more depressed but after she change her relationship to single he is happy again. Mary then sends a video call to Bart which becomes congratulated by Woddy Allen.
